I know cafés can get busy, and maybe it's just not my kind of place, but this one felt really cramped and loud. It was also weirdly cold inside, so I couldn’t really relax or enjoy sitting there

I ordered the ceremonial matcha and was let down. The email made it sound like I was getting something really premium, but what arrived didn’t match that at all. The color looked kind of dull, and the taste was more bitter than smooth. For the price, I expected a lot better. It felt more like a basic matcha to me, so I don’t think I’d buy it again.

I like the matcha okay, but the subscription was just... annoying. I was sure I had skipped a month, but I still got charged, and then support took a while to get back to me. Trying to cancel wasn’t super clear either, so it just felt like more work than it should’ve been. I’d maybe buy the matcha again, but the subscription... no thanks

I was expecting a fresher, brighter matcha flavor, but this one tasted kind of old and flat to me. It wasn’t awful, just not what I was hoping for.

The matcha itself was okay, nothing amazing but not bad either. But yeah, the staff just came across kind of cold, which changed the whole feel of the visit. I was going to ask a question about the menu, then just didn’t feel like bothering. Maybe it was just an off day, but it didn’t feel very welcoming.

I reached out to support hoping for a tip or solution, but the response made me feel like I was the one doing something wrong. Overall, not a great experience...

I ended up reaching out to Matchaful with a question about my order because I was trying to sort it out during my lunch break, and of course I picked the one day I was already behind on everything. It took longer than I expected to hear back. They did eventually respond and were polite, so I don’t want to make it sound like anyone was rude or unhelpful, but I did have to follow up once before getting things cleared up. The product itself was fine, but the customer service felt a little slower than it should’ve been. Not a terrible experience, just not as smooth as I was hoping.

The box showed up in solid shape, so I’m assuming they took a little extra care with the packaging. Nothing looked crushed or beat up, which was nice

I’ve been enjoying the matcha overall, and it does seem like the brand actually cares about sustainability, which I appreciate. I just wish the website made things a little easier to figure out, especially when it comes to packaging and where everything is sourced from. The info is kind of there, but you have to dig around a bit, and it’s not super easy to compare. Solid brand overall, but I’d feel a lot more confident if they showed a little more proof upfront.

I ordered two matcha drinks, but somehow ended up with completely different items. I’m not sure how that mix-up even happens, and it kind of made me wonder if they gave me someone else’s order without checking. Annoying either way.

What stood out more was that when I mentioned it, nobody really seemed to take ownership or try to help. It felt like everyone just passed it off, which made the whole experience a bit disappointing...
